Frequently Asked Questions
What does Hope Tech Foundation do?
We build and donate custom gaming PCs, laptops, and tech devices to children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer. By working with schools, hospitals, and families, we provide tools for escape, connection, and creativity during a difficult time.
Who can receive a device?
Children and teenagers (typically aged 8–18) who have been diagnosed with cancer and are referred or nominated by a professional (such as a teacher, nurse, or social worker) or a family member. We currently operate in the West Midlands, UK, and hope to grow over time.
How are recipients chosen?
We operate a referral and nomination system. Once a child or young person is nominated, we review the application and may reach out to understand their needs, preferences, and situation. We prioritise based on need, timing, and available resources.
What types of devices do you provide?
We provide:
Custom-built gaming PCs for those who enjoy gaming
Laptops for work, school, or entertainment
Handheld gaming devices in some cases
We also offer accessories like headsets, keyboards, and digital gift cards when available.
How can I nominate someone?
You can fill out our online Nomination Form, or email us at hopetechfoundation@outlook.com. We’ll guide you through the process and get back to you as soon as possible.

Absolutely! Whether you're a tech enthusiast, school staff member, healthcare worker, or business, there are many ways to get involved — from spreading the word to providing support behind the scenes. Reach out to us at hopetechfoundation@outlook.com.
How do you protect recipients' privacy and data?
We follow strict safeguarding and data protection policies in line with UK GDPR. All data shared with us is stored securely and only used for delivering our charitable services. Read our [Privacy Policy] for more.
Who runs the charity?
Hope Tech Foundation was founded by Daniel Peedle, a brain tumour survivor who found solace and strength through gaming during recovery. The charity is supported by a small, passionate team of trustees and volunteers committed to making a difference.
